Experience

I build lean, AI-augmented engineering teams where developers ship 3-5x faster.

Coding is being commoditized by AI. The value is shifting to solution design, testing, and guiding teams to work alongside AI as the coding engine. I've spent the last year building this future — autonomous agents that generate, test, and self-heal code, reducing feature development from weeks to days.

12+ years building production software across healthcare, fintech, government, and enterprise. Now focused on leading teams through the most transformative shift in how software gets built.

The Work

The AI Era (2022–Present)

I stopped writing code the traditional way and started building systems where AI writes the code. At CloneForce, I built an end-to-end pipeline where Claude SDK generates production-ready application features, Playwright-based agents autonomously test them, and self-healing workflows analyze failures and fix issues without human intervention. The entire loop — generate, test, fix, ship — runs with minimal manual engineering.

Through my consultancy, I've shipped AI products across healthcare, government, fintech, and education. I built clinical documentation systems that generate structured SOAP notes from real-time audio, reducing documentation time by ~40%. I've contributed to LLM-based clinical workflows at major healthcare organizations. And I've built features for platforms serving 100k+ users.

The pattern across all of it: find a manual workflow, replace it with an AI-driven one, then teach the team to operate that way. That's the job now — not writing code, but designing systems and guiding teams to ship faster with AI as the engine.

Enterprise Scale (2019–2024)

At ArcXP (a Washington Post company), I was on the Subscriptions team building the admin platform companies used to handle paywalls, authentication, and payment integrations. It was heavily integration-focused — international requirements across different countries, multiple companies owning different brands, all using our platform. I modernized the codebase from Node 10/React 16 to Node 20/React 18, introduced trunk-based development, and migrated from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.

At Ruggable, I started on the operations team building apps for manufacturing and fulfillment, then was promoted to Lead to build a team of 5 for a new furniture brand. I built a custom Shopify setup with React and Liquid templating, introduced Tailwind CSS for designer-developer collaboration, and trained the team on agile processes.

The Foundation (2014–2019)

Where I cut my teeth. Frontend development on VA.gov, serving veterans through accessible, data-driven interfaces. Full-stack consulting across startups. Ruby on Rails at Zurb, building collaborative design tools. Every role taught me something different — government contracting taught me rigor, startups taught me speed, and agency work taught me how to ship for clients with wildly different needs.

Before Software

Before I wrote my first line of code, I spent a decade building physical prototypes for major auto manufacturers — Honda, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz. Model making, CNC machining, 5-axis setups, R&D for future vehicle designs. That background in precision engineering and product development carries through everything I build today. I think in systems, I prototype fast, and I ship.
